Today I decided to finally ditch my aging domain name: “involutionarymadness.com”. Henceforth, it will be simply, “bendelaney.me”. InvolutionaryMadness never actually made a whole lot of sense. It was honestly a joke at first. I was poking fun at the idea of blogging and of people putting all their crap online. I happened to notice the word “involutionary” in the dictionary one day and it seemed like one of the definitions,

…the process of involving or complicating, or the state of being involved or complicated. e.g., periods of artistic involution.

fit my idea of “blogging” at the time—a big complicated mess. And a kind of modern madness. However, I think I’ve evolved in my attitude towards it over the last few years. Now I see it as a great way to keep track of things I’m interested in and to express myself in the context of this modern internet culture. Plus it just seemed like it was time to turn over a new leaf.
