Watching a fascinating special on CNN called “Out of Gas”. It’s a teensy bit sensationalistic, but not that bad at all. It talks about what could happen if there was a sudden spike in oil prices, and the impact on the world’s economies. Truly scary stuff. I mean, what would YOU do if gas suddenly jumped to $6, $7, $8 a gallon? If there was a random hurricane, terrorist attack in the middle east, etc. things could get really scary. I think the thing that I’m realizing is that I’m just frustrated. Frustrated that the truly amazing new innovative ideas that are out there, and the viable alternatives that already exist, are not getting the kind of traction that they need—no doubt due to the ridiculous greed of certain industries and the (seeming) inability of our government to get their act together. It’s all just so frustrating. Scary too.
