Honestly, I’m not THAT excited about the new iPhone. 

I don’t think I’d use the GPS much. Same with 3G—would be nice, but I can live without it. And those are the only two major non-software changes.

And you know what…frankly, my iPhone is prettier. The silver metal case is just plain nicer looking. In fact, I think the new one’s screen looks smaller. I know that it isn’t actually smaller, but the perception (to my eyes) is that it “feels” smaller. Look at the comparison above. Because they’ve retooled the edges of it and essentially made them smaller, the screen appears, to me, to “feel” smaller — in the context of the overall face. 

I’m sure I’ll fall in love with it when I actually see it. This post is probably an attempt to “steel” myself against the inevitable craving. :-)
