I normally avoid politics on this blog like the plague, but I felt like saying something on this one, so I’m gonna…
Whether you like Sarah Palin or not (I really don’t care which), everyone ought to know that personal family matters, especially those involving candidates’ children, should be left out of equation. I agree with Obama when he said the pregnancy “has no relevance to Governor Palin’s performance as a governor or her potential performance as a vice president.” He added that, “my mother had me when she was 18. How a family deals with issues and teen-age children – that shouldn’t be the topic of our politics.”
People calling for Palin to bow-out because of this are simply scared (not to mention wildly hypocritical). They know she’s a major game-changer for the Republican party and they are looking for any way they can to tear her down.
Again, like Palin or not, that’s your own business. But leave her 17 year-old daughter out of it.
