Been drinking mad amounts of tea on this trip. Three kinds: Yerba Mate, Rose Melange also known as Rose Pouchong (black tea & rose petals), and Topaz Pu’er (pictured, brewing). All three are wonderful but the Pu’er is new to me and is magical so I’m tuning in to it more than the other two.

And yes, now that I think of it, I do tend to anthropomorphize my teas. Why not, right? Yerba is an ancient athlete. A primal man in all his glory. Rose Pouchong is a beautiful old woman, like a mature and still beautiful Audrey Hepburn, and Topaz Pu’er is an ancient mystic, a sage memory shaman.
