Myles and Me.

This might be getting out of hand…

Myles and I just made 3 climbing routes (for him… mostly) around the kitchen. This included the counter-tops, refrigerator, oven, oven hood (yes, on top), and the island; also spanned across the counter-bar into the dining room, then across again into the living room, up onto and across the fireplace mantle, and then back down onto the coffee table). Only rules: no touching the ground, no touching the stove burners (set to High) (just kidding but I seriously contemplated it… I know(!)), and no touching that one rabid piranha pond on that one part of the kitchen counter.

(He uses my body as a human bridge to make it across the big gaps — a nice degree-of-difficulty element.)

So you know: This Is Fun.

  • Myles:

    Daddy?

  • Me:

    yep?

  • Myles:

How do you set things on fire with lasers?

  • Me:

I'll have to tell you about that later little man. It's bedtime.

  • Myles:

    K.

To be honest I just started reading Harry Potter because I wanted to read the biggest book in the library. And since number 4 or 5 was the biggest, I started with number 1 so I could get up to that one, and then be proud of myself for reading the biggest book in the library. But then I toootally got into it.

My man Myles. Dressed himself and was feeling fly with his fireman boot and double-jacket combo. This kid cracks me up.

Hey. I have a baby in my tummy, his name is Rya.

He’s a girl.

Myles (3). He recites this like a mantra to anyone who will listen.

More of what we do when mom is out. :)
